IEME Provides Accredited Inspection for Northern Rodoanel Rodoanel Construction
Engineering projects and works involve significant investments and require absolute technical rigor, both in their design and execution. Therefore, concessionaires submit their projects and works for evaluation by an Accredited Inspection Body (OIA), recognized by INMETRO, which assesses the inspected object’s compliance with technical requirements and government guidelines.
The Northern section of the Rodoanel Mário Covas (SP-021), managed by Via Appia, is one of these projects, and IEME Brasil is honored to provide accredited inspection services for the works. The section comprises 44 km of track and 107 Special Works of Art (OAEs).
“The purpose of the inspection is to demonstrate that the specified requirements for the infrastructure project are met. It seeks to assess whether the construction stages were executed in accordance with applicable technical standards or norms, whether they contain sufficient content and information for their development sequence, and whether they meet the requirements and criteria associated with the item being evaluated, necessarily considering those set forth in the bidding documents and/or terms of reference, their annexes, and the contract,” explains Alvaro Velloso de Oliveira, director of the Accredited Inspections area at IEME Brasil.
