BENEFITS OF SOCIAL MANAGEMENT

Government programs for urban interventions and structural remodeling interfere in the lives of people affected by construction. Many of these occupations are made up of precarious settlements, high population density, deficiencies in infrastructure and accessibility to urban services.

The social work developed in these cases softens the impacts caused by the changes, creating a follow-up process that takes into account the identity bonds and the specific reality of the families. Capacity-building for income generation, socio-environmental education and community empowerment contributes to greater sustainability in these interventions.

The transfers of families to new urban settlements and housing estates can bring a higher quality of life, from the development of practices that make them more autonomous.
