Housing Policy

Equating the housing deficit in Brazil is a challenge that will require a great accumulation of forces and experiences. In recent years, there has been an increase in the capillarity of the sources of resources for the implementation of housing policies in municipalities, while changes in the legal framework, which occurred after the 1988 Constitution, have contributed to a greater use of its structures not always accompanied by the agility necessary to operate them.

The alarming numbers of the housing deficit in Brazil reveal the urgency of establishing greater speed in the planning and execution processes of the municipal public housing policies. The IEME BRAZIL team has extensive experience in these processes, which include planning, operation and management in the implementation of these policies, in order to achieve greater results in a shorter period of time.

BENEFITS OF TECHNICAL SUPPORT IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MUNICIPAL PUBLIC HOUSING POLICIES

The increase of public resources for the implementation of housing policies has made the administrative management of governments in their various spheres more complex and voluminous.

Planning has been used on a large scale to guide in a rational way the actions to be developed to bring effectiveness in the application of public resources. Each of the steps envisaged in this process requires joint efforts, including technical and operational support.

The full and rapid development of municipal housing programs with the obtaining of resources from other governmental spheres can contribute to the reduction of the housing deficit in Brazil. Faced with the complexity of the actions to be developed, it is important to establish methodologies that ensure quality in each of the planned stages, consolidating and disseminating, therefore, the successful practices to make policies effective.
