In the Engineering area, IEME Brasil operates in the analysis of structural safety, in the monitoring of pathologies and in vibro-acoustic controls, both in civil and metro-rail works.

 

We adopt internationally recognized state-of-the-art technologies, such as the dynamic analysis of structures, which consists of monitoring their vibrations and comparing their response in the field to the calculated theoretical value.

For this work, IEME Brasil also relies on Vibrodina, a mechanical vibration generator capable of transmitting them to the structure, simulating the maximum admissible loads. This type of analysis allows you to break down possible problems and optimize the cost of your repairs.

 

In general, the work comprises:

  • Monitoring of vibrations and noise in structures and design of acoustic barriers
  • Design of noise and vibration attenuation systems
  • Inspection, instrumentation and tests for structural diagnosis
  • Underground-rail developments: projects for permanent tracks with and without mass-spring systems to attenuate vibrations and noise, homologation of new tracks and instrumentation for evaluating efforts and performance of tracks and vehicles in existing systems
  • Theoretical and experimental dynamic analyzes to monitor the structural integrity, load and utilization capacity and prediction of the remaining useful life of civil works
  • Static and dynamic load tests
  • Elaboration of non-linear complex mathematical models for analysis of effects resulting from earthquakes and temperature
  • Mathematical models by the Finite Element Method
  • Pathologies: theoretical and experimental studies of the effects of the alkali aggregate reaction (AAR) on structures
